arim.models.block_in_contact#
Model for solid block on which the probe is in direct contact
Imaging should work as expected.
The forward model is not finalised and is not experimentally validated. Buyer beware.
Known issue :
the model is not reciprocal (swapping the transmitter and the receiver gives different results)
Limits of the forward model:
the scaling between the L and the T directivity of the elements is dubious
material underneath is fluid
do not model reflection against the backwall
